BD placed among most innovative global companies across industries

But how do we stack up among leading global innovators across industries?  Today BD was named to the Derwent Top 100 Global Innovator™ list for 2020, which identifies the world’s 100 most innovative organizations.

2020 was BD’s fifth time being named to the list, which celebrates innovation as measured by the number and impact of the company’s patents, using data from the Derwent World Patents Index™.  In 2019, BD received more than 500 U.S. patents and more than 3,000 patents worldwide.

BD spends more than $1 billion dollars each year on innovation annually and has more than 250 new products in our development pipeline, spread across our three business segments and nine business units.
